January's Profit + Super Bowl Sunday

Hey ya'll!  My Sunday has been super lazy.  I'm currently watching the super bowl and wrapping some things up with eBay.  This has been the first month I have been technically "unemployed" and have solely relied on eBay for my income.  I could not be happier with the results!  Not only do I LOVE my job, but it is so therapeutic!  Shopping and making money are both things that make me very happy; and I've found something that combines them both.  Not only am I loving the actual job, I'm also loving having more time to spend with the boy.

I'm not too into the Super Bowl this year (I'm a Ravens girl myself), but I love hanging out with the boy, Katy Perry, and super bowl commercials.  Don't even get me started on the Budweiser commercial with the Clydesdales and the puppy!  Cutest. Thing. Ever!  Still, I'd rather be sipping on a Miami Vice than a Budweiser any day.

Anyways, here are some of the items I've sold this past week:

Victoria's Secret Kiss of Cashmere Sweater
Paid:$5.00 + $5.35 Shipping
Sold: $32.99 + $6.35 Shipping
Profit: $24.58

Victoria's Secret Bombshell Bra
Paid: $9.01 + $4.99 Shipping
Sold: $29.99 + $6.35 Shipping
Profit: $18.26

Chaco Sandals
Paid: $5.60 + $7.55 Shipping
Sold: $69.99 + $12.35 Shipping
Profit: $58.63

All three of these items I found at goodwill, but they were all brand spankin' new with the tags still attached.

Here's a tip to all of you starting out on eBay.  Make it so your listings end on Sunday night. It is by far my most profitable night.  I'm transitioning into having majority of my items end on Sundays.

In January, on eBay alone, I made $895.68 profit.  I know this is low, but I only put in a total of about 35 hours the whole month.  I'm gradually putting more time into my eBay flipping.  I have no excuses anymore now that I don't have a job.

My goal for February is to make $1600 profit and also to incorporate myself.  For those of you who don't know, S and I are currently renting and are hoping to be able to buy a house in the near future, so I need to be able to show my income and incorporating myself seems to be the most advantageous move.  I'll update you tomorrow on tonight's profit.  Spoiler: I'm expecting at least $400.  Check back tomorrow!

Quit Your Job, Buy a Ticket

Well two out of the three are officially done!  Quit job: check!  Fell in love: check!

I recently decided that for now, just reselling my thrift store finds on eBay is enough for me.  I will be attending my last undergraduate college class in just a couple weeks and will have to devote a lot of my time to study for my actuarial exams.  For this reason, I decided it's better for me to be able to set my own schedule.

I cannot wait to get this last class done and over with ya'll!  I have BIG plans for what's to come next.  I hope to pass at least one actuarial exam by the time my class ends in May 2015.  From there I will be able to take an actuarial job or maybe even my dream job at the Google headquarters!  There are so many things that I am absolutely overly-excited about including house hunting, being able to decorate my interior, living somewhere warmer, and helping the boy with starting his very own farm!

Check back with me next week to see how my eBay sales for the week went!
